Most of these are available in the PGH library system, or can be found pretty inexpensively used online. If you want to buy new and you use the links above I’ll get a tiny cut because they’re affiliate links through bookshop, so that’s always nice too!
OTHER BOOKS:
Check out my zine, *Matrescence Reading List.* It’s a pretty detailed list of all my favorite books that engage motherhood — lots of novels, lots of non-fiction, lots of information, all kinds of angles! Happy to share it with clients for free, just let me know you’re interested!
PODCASTS:
The Birth Hour (Birth Stories! Listening to LOTS of birth stories was by far the most beneficial birth prep I did while pregnant. It is so helpful to hear about many different kinds of births described in someone’s own words!)
Evidence Based Birth (Lots of unbiased evidence-based information (you can probably find an episode on any birth topic you encounter or are wondering about), and great birth stories and conversations. I listen to this podcast regularly!
Transformed by Birth (The way Britta approaches birth really inspires me! This is a new podcast but I can tell from the start that it will be a really rich resource for parents.)
